MUIMUN patronage 2013 – Symbiosis in the City of Science
In past years, patrons of MUIMUN have been big names of national and international politics, to whom we are thankful for honouring our conference with their support. This year, we have even more reason to be grateful to our patrons – yes, there are two of them.
Professor Dr. Ursula Nelles, President of our Alma Mater WWU Münster, and Markus Lewe, Mayor of the city of Münster, have stood at MUIMUN’s side from the very beginning. We feel deeply indebted to both the city and the university of Münster not only for providing the splendid venues where we hold our committee sessions each year, but also for the long-standing ideal support and for giving MUIMUN room to grow with each edition.
This year is very special because Münster has been selected as City of Science in a nationwide competition due to the unique symbiosis between communal and academic institutions, research and practice, students and native citizens. MUIMUN is proud to stand out as one example of this happy cooperation.
The joint patronage of Ms Nelles and Mr Lewe manifests MUIMUN’s happiness and thankfulness to be so firmly rooted in the city of the Westphalian Peace. We are very proud to gather in April 2013 under the auspices of these two patrons.
Every year, MUIMUN seeks the patronage of an experienced and inspiring individual. In the past years, the following personalities have honoured MUIMUN by serving as patrons.
