Visa, Insurance and Emergency Numbers

Visa

The registration for the upcoming Muimun conference 2012 has not opened yet. But before your registration can begin, we would like to provide you with some information concerning your visa status and the travel health insurance.

In order to evaluate whether or not you need to apply for a visa for your stay in Germany, please follow the following steps:

  1. Visit the page http://auswaertiges-amt.de/ (switch to English)
  2. Under “Welcome to Germany” please choose the “Coming to or Staying in Germany”
  3. Under “Visa Regulation” information are provided on your visa status, and – if necessary – how you can apply for a visa.

Coming from a country whose citizens require visas, we advice you to apply for one as soon as possible since experience has proven that it may take some intensive preparation. It is no rarity for this process to exceed a four week span.

Additionally, please inform yourself about the regulations for your home country e.g. whether you need an invitation letter from us to confirm your participation in MUIMUN conference, whether we have to accredit this invitation and so on. Please notice, inquiries for visa-letters are possible until January 31, 2012. The completeness of the documents is of utmost significance, because otherwise the government may refuse you your visa.

Concerning the travel insurance, MUIMUN is not able to provide cover for you. Adequate medical insurance coverage (minimum coverage of EUR 30.000) is mandatory when applying for a visa.

For more information please access http://auswaertiges-amt.de or contact us at Delegates@muimun.org
