Travelling to Münster

Münster is located in the heart of the Münsterland region in North-Rhine Westphalia. In close proximity to the Netherlands and Germany’s Ruhr Area, getting to Münster is easy.

If you travel by car take the A1 or the A43 motorway.

If you travel by train buy a ticket to Münster Hauptbahnhof (main train station). Münster has a major train station with connections from all over the country and abroad.  For train connections you might want to look here.

If you travel by plane, Münster/Osnabrück International Airport located on the outskirts of the city is only about 20 minutes away by bus or taxi. Dortmund Airport is a 40-minutes drive from Münster and can also be reached via train. Düsseldorf International Airport is a one and a half hour train-ride from Münster. If you arrive at Airport Weeze/ Niederrhein please check possible train connections. If you have any further questions please contact delegate service team.

If you travel by bus please check out Eurolines for further information. Long-distance busses connect Münster with most Eastern and Western European countries. They are a rather cheap alternative to the railway, though not as comfortable.
