Dresscode

MUIMUN kindly advices all participants to respect the dress code. A proper attire is essential in order to create the unique atmosphere of a MUN-conference. Formal dress is the norm at MUIMUN, so please use your best judgment in following this norm.

The guidelines are as follows, and students will be expected to follow them, to the extent of being asked to change before participating in committee:

  • Men are expected to wear a suit or a jacket, formal shoes (no sneakers) and dress pants (no jeans), with a dress shirt and tie.
  • Women should wear a suit, dress and jacket, formal shoes (no sneakers), dress slacks or skirt, with a blouse or sweater (no jeans).

National dress is appropriate at all social events. Especially for the “global village” it would be quite interesting to see you in clothes typical for your country.

Please note, that you will also need a casual outfit in the evening and maybe a weatherproof jacket or rain clothes, since Münster is not only well-known for its beautiful midtown, but also for much rain.
